George Taylor & Co. Lifting Gear (GT Lifting) are delighted to announce that the acquisition of Polystrop Ltd has been completed, and we welcome the wonderful UK traditions and manufacturing skills of all the staff into the GT Lifting Group.

Chris Porter, the Managing Director of Polystrop for more than 35 years, will continue to run the Company at its Bristol Head Office alongside all his existing team.

Polystrop are UK manufacturers and Trade suppliers of a complete range of Webbing Slings, Roundslings, Ratchet Assemblies and Dyneema Slings.

They have over 45 years’ experience of creating outstanding quality products to internationally recognised standards and of meeting their customers’ specialist lifting and load control requirements.

Chris was pleased to confirm that whilst Polystrop had new shareholders, all the staff including himself will continue to supply their British made products to customers in a fast and efficient way. He went on to say that this was an exciting opportunity for GT Lifting to continue to grow and develop their Trade customer network with the added UK manufacturing capacity of Polystrop. Chris said “The staff at our manufacturing and stockholding sites in Bristol, and now the West Midlands and United Arab Emirates are looking forward to working together to provide a truly comprehensive solution to our customer requirements”. Chris advised Polystrop Ltd will still manufacture the same range of equipment and focus on customer service and are delighted to play their part in the continued success of the GT Lifting Group.
